an ashtray cast as a pastel de nata, the custard tart hong kong borrowed from macau and never quite gave back. the exterior is the flaky, layered crust; the well is glazed in scorched browns and custard yellows, blistered like the real thing straight from the oven. three rests are worked into the rim, and it reads just as well holding rings, clips, or nothing at all. a single piece, in an edition of fifty, with a small frankenchang mark underneath. no reissue, ever.

collection 01 is available for preorder from 25 june 2026. orders placed during the preorder window ship from 19 august 2026 (qixi). you are charged in full at the time of order. if your order mixes preorder and in-stock pieces, the whole order ships together once every piece is ready, unless you ask us to split it; a second shipping charge may apply.
return & refund
we want every piece to last for generations. if something is not right, here is how we handle it.
you have 14 days from delivery to return an unused piece, in its original packaging, for a full refund of the item price.
email us first at clientcare@frankenchang.com. return shipping is yours to arrange and cover, except where a piece arrived damaged or faulty. we issue the refund once the piece reaches us in resaleable condition.
damaged in transit
ceramic travels far. if your piece arrives broken or chipped, email clientcare@frankenchang.com within 7 days of delivery with photos of the piece and the packaging. we replace it or refund it in full, including shipping, at your choice. please keep the packaging until we confirm next steps.
